On behalf of the African Development Bank (AfDB), ADE is starting an evaluation of a country and program evaluation in Egypt over the period 2009-2018.

This evaluation will assess the Bank’s assistance to Egypt in terms of development results as well as AfDB’s management.

It covers a portfolio of 51 projects distributed among eight high-level sectors together with non-lending activities (knowledge work, capacity building, policy dialogue and technical assistance)

This evaluation also has a prospective and learning dimension since it aims at identifying successes and challenges in order to provide lessons and recommendations, which will be used to inform the design of the AfDB’s new country strategy paper (CSP).
