LOT LOT 6 - Innovative Financing for Development

Ideally, the team would have the following expertise and skills:

  • Master Degree or equivalent in law and economics or other relevant field with sustained record of achieving high-quality substantive results over an extended period (typically at least 12 years for the senior expert (Cat I) and 6 years for the expert Cat II).
  • Established expertise in legal issues and legislation related to sovereign debt, debt issuance, debt security products, and debt restructuring and collective action clauses. Knowledge of sovereign debt regulation in the major financial centres (London, New York, Paris).
  • Demonstrated knowledge of sovereign debt markets and investor categories, including vulture funds and their business model (including taxation); practical experience in sovereign financial market transactions
  • Experience in debt markets in developing country context
  • Familiarity with existing anti-vulture funds legislation and their main principles
  • Demonstrated experience in conducting economic or legal studies, writing papers, carry out literature reviews and case studies
  • Strong oral and written communication skills in English is required. French knowledge is also highly desirable.
  • The experts should declare that they are free of conflict of interest.

Working language(s):

  • The working language is English. For the review of literature and analysis of country cases, the knowledge of French is required. The report will be prepared in English.
